From Over 30 Countries They Came

Despite the intermittent rain showers, some of them quite momentous, 180 new students made their way to Mill Bay and the Brentwood Campus yesterday for the opening of Orientation Week 2014. They arrived from as far away as Rwanda and Swaziland and as close by as Mill Bay and Victoria. The focus of this week is to welcome our new students and to allow our Student Leaders and Orientation Assistants led the way through numerous activities. Fundamentally the students are encouraged to run the show with the house staff and faculty there to act as resources to help ease our new charges into the rhythms of the school. It is chaotic, active and fun but measured and planned as well and designed to ensure a positive and welcoming experience. We also had lots of tissue on hand for the parents
